Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Oil painting of a broad-tailed hummingbird and flowers. At first glance this looks like a ruby-throated hummingbird, but it is actually a broad-tailed hummingbird. The two look very similar but are most easily distinguished by their tail shapes, the ruby-throat having a more forked, or inverted V shaped tail. The ruby-throated hummingbird also has a more reddish-orange throat while the broad-tailed hummingbird has more rosy red throat. This color difference is actually why I decided to use the broad-tail in my painting instead of the better-known ruby. This rose color more closely matches the color of the popular pink and white fuchsia flowers, and the common pinkish-red petunias. This rose colored red is also a perfect complement to the phthalo green background.
NOTE: For best color intensity, please choose semi-matte or luster as your paper option when ordering.
